sunrise

...red skies in the morning, sailors take warning? I can only hope. The motor has been running throughout the night. I've been concerned about using too much fuel so early in the trip but discovered that running the engine at low RPMs (1500) makes it very miserly on fuel consumption and still moves the boat at about 4.8 knots. So far I've used about 10-15% of one tank. I just pulled a new weather report and it looks like I start to get some wind around midnight so just another 18 hours of calms.
A 3/4 moon and Venus were very bright this morning -along with the red sunrise was quite striking.
