Prices

FYI: Prices are quite high here in Bermuda. I haven't found Diet Coke cheaper than $1.50 each for a 12oz can, regardless of quantity. In the US it's about 1/3 that cost. Ditto beer; a six-pack is about $15-20.
When Doug, Geoff & I landed in Green Turtle Cay in the Bahamas, a lady on the dock said (unprompted), "if you want really cheap beer, just go to..." and proceeded to give directions. We stopped in there when we walked into town. We asked the lady for 2 six packs and she rang it up; $38.00. We all did a double take. We thought we had been taken, but later figured out this was the cheap place.
Food has also been more expensive but mostly about 50% more. It's just harder to give that comparison with non-standard items. As an example, here's $7.00 of soft serve yogurt:
