gennaker problem

Here are a few pics from two days ago of the teamwork involved to get the gennaker raised (the gennaker is the big black & white sail shown in some past pictures). Paddy, Ben & Anthony worked the foredeck and Antoine manning the guideline aft. What was I doing you might ask? Supervising and taking pictures :-)
It's a tough job but someone's got to do it ;-)
We were successful in getting this accomplished but we were forced to take it back down when higher winds overtook us later in the day. It was nice while it lasted.
At this point I knew the halyard had to be replaced but was reluctant to attempt to change it as I have never climbed a mast while at sea. The next day we had higher than normal winds all day so it gave me an excuse to "do nothing" as we wouldn't use the gennaker anyway in those conditions.
