wind, gennakers and dolphins, oh my!

We finally have some wind this morning. Not much, but enough to give us an extra knot or two of speed as we motor sail with our gennaker flying. Currently traveling 6.8 to 9.7 knots as we climb up and surf down each wave as they roll under us from astern.
A HUGE pod of dolphins, probably close to 30 in number, joined us for awhile. They are amazing creatures that seem to revel in playing in our bow wake.

  1. The dolphins were our constant companion during our Atlantic crossing, they are very playful and will come quite close when you swim near to them!
