temperature

Chuck from FHLB inquired today about the current temperature out here. The high today was about 78F, current temp at 1:45am is 73F and the water temp is 76.
How do I know this? With my handy-dandy laser thermometer of course! I brought this with me to do engine diagnostics but have used it mostly to determine the oven temp as there is no gauge on the oven, just a dial with a range of big flame to little flame.
I've also used it to check the freezer & refrigerator temperature and a few other things. Quite the handy tool.
