We have left Tenerife behind; next up La Gomera. We are cruising along at 9+ knots with following seas. We've seen speeds of up to 14 knots while surfing down waves; a bit thrilling. Still wing-on-wing with main with first reef and full genny up. We will probably wait until tomorrow morning before considering using the gennaker.
Everyone is feeling pretty good so far, maybe a little sluggish from queasiness, a little drowsy from seasickness pills.
The sun is out and we have bright blue skies; the clouds have dissipated.
I believe we are near the front of the pack of boats but as we've made very clear, this is not a race (unless we come in first, at which point I expect a trophy!)
You said you are near the front of the pack. Are there other boats making the same trip as you?
